Course Content:
The course monitors and analyzes the main stages of European history in the 20th century. Its starting point is the culmination of the colonial occupation of European powers in the last two decades of the 19th century and through it, the imposition of the capitalist mode of production on a universal scale.

Students are expected to take the course
• Gain a knowledge base on contemporary European history so that they can attend other courses that are indirectly related to it.
• They will get to know the general historical developments and trends that shaped the world today.
• They will understand the historical roots of the geopolitical, political and social background of our time
• They will analyze current situations in comparison and in relation to the past in a way that they can compare and therefore judge.
