The course examines the policies adopted and implemented by the European Union from the Treaty of Rome (1957) until today. The content and the significance of these policies is analysed; at the same time, the processes of policy formulation, impelmentation and assessment are being presented. Speceial emphasis is attributed on the study of the interaction between the European and national levels of governance, as well as on the examination of the role of the wider international context.
