Lecturer on Contract
Vasiliki Buranda is a PhD in political science specializing in electoral systems and political and electoral competition, with an emphasis on the Balkan countries. She has worked as a lecturer in academic institutions (Democritius University of Thrace, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) with the subjects of political analysis, political systems, political communication and social movements. She has participated in international research projects as a researcher and data analyst, as well as in international and domestic scientific conferences, workshops and seminars with announcements.
Her research interests and scientific activity focus on the analysis of electoral and political competition, with an emphasis on the Balkan countries, on the evolution of political communication and political marketing, on the course of democratic institutions at the central and local level in European countries.
She is a member of the Hellenic Political Science Society (HPSA), the International Federation of Classification Societies (IFCS) and the Hellenic Data Analysis Society (GSDA).
